TPO in nail products as of September 2025

? Important update: TPO in nail products as of September 2025

As of September 1, 2025, the EU will ban the use of TPO (Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphosphine Oxide) in cosmetic products, including nail products. TPO is an ingredient often found in gels and gel polish to harden the product under UV or LED, but is now classified as a potentially harmful substance for reproduction (category 1B CMR substance).

What does this mean for you as a nail stylist?

❌ As of September 1, 2025, products containing TPO may no longer be sold or distributed within the EU.

⚠️ It is currently unclear whether existing products with TPO may still be used after this date. That is why we recommend switching to TPO-free alternatives well in advance.

✅ Good news! Almost all products in our range are now completely TPO-free. So you can continue to work without worries according to the new rules.

? For the few products that still contain TPO, we are busy behind the scenes developing or purchasing a good alternative. We will of course keep you informed about this.
